Insight Global is looking for a medical coder to join their clients team on a full-time basis in Long Island, NY.

Responsibilities:

Accurately assign codes to diagnoses and procedures using systems like CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10.
Ensure coding practices comply with government regulations and insurance policies.
Examine patient charts and documents for accuracy and completeness.
Follow up with medical staff to clarify any unclear information.
Prepare and submit forms to insurers for reimbursement.
Analyze medical records to identify documentation deficiencies and ensure proper coding.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in medical coding or a related role.
Proficiency in coding software, excellent organizational skills, and strong communication abilities.
High school diploma or GED required; additional certification in medical coding is preferred.
