Pride Health is hiring a Medical Lab Scientist I to support our client’s medical facility, which is based in Cullman, AL. This is a 26 week contract position and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Medical Lab Scientist I to join our team in Cullman, AL. This is a full-time contract position with the potential to extend. The Medical Lab Scientist will support the Core Lab by performing tests and procedures in areas such as Hematology, Coagulation, and Urinalysis, as well as handling daily QC and maintenance. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory tests in Hematology, Coagulation, and Urinalysis.
• Complete daily quality control (QC) checks and assist with weekly/monthly maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of tests and results.
• Work with other lab personnel to ensure smooth and efficient lab operations.
• Follow strict safety protocols and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field (e.g., Bio/Chem) with relevant lab experience (or a 2-year Associate’s degree in Medical Technology).
• Strong experience in Core Lab operations (Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis).
• Color vision screening required.
• Preferred: ASCP or AMT certification (not required but strongly preferred).
• Experience with Cerner PathNet is a plus.

• Location: Cullman, AL
• Job Type: 26 weeks Contract
• Shifts: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM, Mon - Fri + Every Other Weekend (40 hours/week)
• Pay Range : $26-$28 Hourly W2

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
