Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am-5pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Proficiency in conducting mental status examinations and familiarity with current diagnostic manuals.
Strong grasp of psychiatric mental health theories and their application in practice.
Conducting individual and group therapy sessions for clients with various psychopathologies.
Acting as a primary therapist and collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.
Accurately observing and documenting treatment sessions.
Comprehensive understanding of human relationships and their dynamics.
Effective communication and interaction with visitors, law enforcement, and community members.
Skill in assessing client statements and behaviors for indications of antisocial tendencies.
Clear and concise communication in both verbal and written English.
Proficiency in spoken and written Spanish for effective communication (preferred).

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven clinical experience in treating acute and chronic mentally ill populations.
Expertise in crisis intervention and experience in family therapy.
Competence in treatment and discharge planning.
Familiarity with community resources pertinent to mental health care.
Experience in preparing written client evaluations.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or ASL is advantageous.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in Behavioral Sciences or a related field from an accredited university.
Valid registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (CA BBS).

Performance incentives monthly of up to $1,000
