Responsibilities

Prepare patients: Take patient history, explain procedures, and position patients on the table
Operate equipment: Adjust and maintain MRI scanners, and administer contrast if needed
Monitor patients: Monitor vital signs and provide immediate assistance if needed
Take images: Follow physician orders to image specific areas of the body
Evaluate images: Review images for quality and completeness, and take additional scans if needed
Maintain records: Keep detailed patient records
Communicate: Communicate with patients to alleviate anxiety
