Location: VA Eastern Colorado Healthcare System, Aurora, Colorado
Position: Part-time
Duties:
- Provide music therapy to veterans, including teaching instruments such as ukulele, guitar, drums, and percussion.
- Guide veterans in songwriting, singing, and therapeutic music creation.
- Conduct psychotherapy processing as part of therapy sessions.
- Lead hands-on music creation classes where veterans create and keep their own projects.
- Conduct both group and individual sessions, structured as series or single sessions.
Requirements:
- Must hold a current Music Therapist-Board Certified (MT-BC) credential.
- In-depth knowledge of music therapy techniques, including history and theory.
- Ability to demonstrate and teach various musical techniques effectively.
