Odyssey is seeking a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a great opportunity for experienced professionals seeking a short-term placement while making an impact in a high-quality healthcare environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review physician orders and patient history to determine the appropriate procedure.
- Handle, calibrate, and administer radioactive materials using established safety procedures.
- Explain procedures and complete pregnancy questionnaires with patients.
- Position patients and adjust equipment protocols to capture diagnostic images.
- Perform specialized imaging including Lymphoscintigraphy and Y90 embolization.
- Process and review images with nuclear physicians to determine completeness.
- Enter patient charges into the system.
- Calibrate instruments daily and check for contamination.
- Comply with Georgia Department of Natural Resources regulations and hospital safety protocols.
- Perform PET/CT and diagnostic CT exams as required.
- Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
- Certified or eligible for certification by the NMTCB or ARRT (N).
- Certified in CPR.
- For PET/CT or SPECT/CT: must obtain CT Technologist registration within 90 days.
- Strong attention to safety, detail, and patient care.
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Atlanta, GA.
