S.E.E.D.S. of the Willistons is a Private Practice for Speech & Occupational Services located in Williston Park, NY. The practice has been servicing pediatrics and adults for over 35 years and is a Nassau County Approved provider of CPSE/CSE Services. S.E.E.D.S. of the Willistons offers evaluations, individual/group sessions, social playgroups, and parent trainings for communication and coordination. Art therapy is available upon request, and accessible parking is available in the rear of the building.
Role Description
Seeking Full or Part time Occupational Therapists at S.E.E.D.S. of the Willistons. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for the following
- Develop individualized treatment plans to help clients improve their functional abilities
- Provide occupational therapy interventions to clients, including therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living training, and adaptive equipment recommendations
- Monitor and evaluate clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families on strategies for managing their conditions and maximizing independence
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and techniques
- Ability to perform occupational health assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Proficiency in case management to coordinate care for patients with complex needs
- Excellent patient care skills, including the ability to provide compassionate and effective interventions
- Experience working with children
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy to accurately assess patients' conditions
- Strong focus on patient service and delivering high-quality care
Qualifications Required
- Master's Degree (Required)
- NYS Occupational Therapy License (Required)
