Job Description
Job Title: School Bus Driver
Compensation: Pays up to $25 per hour
Job Purpose:
Provide safe and efficient transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extracurricular program.
Qualifications-Required:
- High School Diploma
- Valid NJ driver's license, for at least three (3) years
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directions and adhere to rules and regulations
- Ability to relate to school age children from PreK-12
- Ability to learn bus routes and be on time
- Ability to successful acquire a CDL license (District will train applicants to become bus drivers)
- Ability to control a school bus in emergency situations
- Ability to work a flexible work day in morning and afternoon
- Ability to pass the requirement physical examination to obtain CDL license
- Ability to pass the required Criminal History Review
- Ability to pass the Sexual Misconduct Child Abuse Disclosure
Qualifications-Desired:
- Current CDL license
- 2-3 years driving a school bus
Working Conditions:
- Transportation Department
- School bus
- Available for morning, afternoon, evening runs
- Available for 5-Hour or 6-Hour day
- Willing to train individuals wanting to be a bus driver
