Payroll Specialist

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Alamosa, CO

San Luis Valley Behavioral Health Group is seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic business team. If you are highly organized an detail-oriented, you may be the right fit to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in processing payroll for an organization and be able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities of the ideal Payroll Specialist

- Process payroll for employees on a bi-weekly and monthly basis

- Ensure accuracy of employee data and payroll information

- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits, including leave

- Maintain payroll records and files

- Prepare and distribute payroll reports as needed

- Stay up-to-date with payroll laws and regulations

Requirements:

Requirements for our Payroll Specialist

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in payroll processing

- Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to meet deadlines

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Knowledge of Paylocity is a plus

- Ability to work with other departments to coordinate payroll activities
