Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled Penetration Testing Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in identifying security vulnerabilities through rigorous penetration testing of various systems applications and networks. The Penetration Testing Consultant will provide detailed reports recommend mitigation strategies and work with internal teams to enhance our overall security posture.
Responsibilities and Required skills:
- Conduct indepth penetration tests on networks applications and systems to identify security weaknesses.
- Use advanced techniques to simulate realworld attacks and assess the effectiveness of security controls.
- Perform comprehensive vulnerability assessments to uncover potential security risks.
- Analyze assessment results to prioritize vulnerabilities based on potential impact and exploitability.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining the findings of penetration tests and vulnerability assessments.
- Provide clear and actionable recommendations for remediation and mitigation of identified risks.
- Work closely with internal and external teams to develop and implement remediation plans.
- Conduct followup tests to verify the effectiveness of remediation efforts.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and frameworks including NIST FIPS HIPAA HITECH and others.
- Stay updated with evolving security standards and best practices to ensure continuous improvement.
- Research and stay current on the latest security threats vulnerabilities and technology trends.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving overall security posture.
- Proven experience in conducting penetration tests and vulnerability assessments.
- Strong knowledge of security principles techniques and tools.
- Familiarity with security compliance standards and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry.
- Advanced knowledge of specific security frameworks relevant to the industry.
- Experience with risk management and incident response.
Certifications (mandatory):
- GIAC Exploit Researcher and Advanced Penetration Tester (GXPN)
- Offensive Security Experienced Penetration Tester (OSEP)
- GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN)
- Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)
- Offensive Security Exploitation Expert (OSEE)
- Offensive Security Exploit Developer (OSED)
- Offensive Security Web Expert (OSWE)
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional certifications such as:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
- CompTIA PenTest
- Other relevant GIAC certifications
