• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities

The pharmacy technician, under the supervision of a pharmacist, will assist in the technical, and non-clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing and assist in pharmacy operations. Has the ability to participate as a member of a team with reliability and punctuality. Does related work, as required. Maintains competency in the compounding of sterile IV medications.

Qualifications

Job Requirements :

• High School graduate or GED.

• 2+ years of previous hospital pharmacy technician experience (inclusive of training programs).

• Completion of sterile compounding training/competency (as required by State BOP).

• Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy, if required by state of employment.

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).

• Current BLS.
