One of our major oil and gas clients is seeking a Piping Designer I to work on a 12-month assignment in Ponca City, OK.
Description:
• This position is for a contract Mechanical Designer
• This position is located at the Ponca City Refinery
• Typical hours are 8 hours a day Monday-Friday, overtime possible.
• This candidate will work on Refinery Technical Services (RTS) projects piping drawings
Required Qualifications
• CAD experience (1-5 yrs)
• Desire to learn is extremely important
• Must be able to function as part of a project team
• Able to interact and work with a diverse work group (Mechanical Craftsman, Engineers, Contractors)
Desired Qualifications
- Auto CAD experience
- 3D Modeling experience
- Associate Degree in Design, Drafting or Engineer Tech
- Knowledge of piping design and structural layout
· Learn the design standards and codes that apply to the drawings being created
· Work as part of a design team to put together design packages
· Use Ponca City Refinery's design standards and project procedures to create project drawings including the following but not limited to:
o Schematics / Isometrics
o Building layouts, equipment layouts, and pipe routing
o Pipe schedules
o Installation Details
o Bill of Materials
