MITRE is seeking a technically deep and operationally oriented engineer to provide innovative solutions to critical Army challenges, in areas that include the application of Artificial Intelligence to help the Army design and deliver advanced technologies to meet the warfighter needs in a broad range of operating environments. The Army Intelligence and Sensors Department (N212) supports a geographically dispersed set of Sponsors largely based in Aberdeen, MD and the DC areas but with a presence in Colorado Springs, CO and Huntsville, AL. Our mission is to design, deliver and sustain leading edge capabilities focused on intelligence systems, sensors and non-kinetic effects to ensure Army soldiers are equipped with the technology and actionable battlefield intelligence to enable dominance.
The successful candidate will work across MITRE and the Army enterprise to develop solutions primarily in support of the Army’s Program Executive Officer for Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors (PEO IEW&S). Efforts will include supporting their sensor modernization efforts with a focus on AI/ML to process, exploit and disseminate intelligence data and proposing solutions related to optimizing the sensor to shooter workflow. The ideal candidate will have broad technical skills to apply across multiple domains with experience in developing prototype capabilities in the areas of small form factor signal processing, command and control, and electronic warfare. In addition to PEO IEW&S, the candidate’s skills and knowledge will be applied in direct support of the Army G-2 and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Center (C5ISR) Research and Technology Integration with the potential for larger cross cutting impact across the greater Army and Department of Defense enterprise.
