Adecco has partnered with an Aerospace company near Syracuse, New York in hiring 2 Full Time Direct Hire (Product Engineer / Dimensional Engineer). 1st Shift (8am-5pm) **Hours can be flexible but looking for someone that's committed to completing the projects given the timeframe

Dimensional Engineer – Aerospace Investment Casting

💰 Salary: $70,000 - $140,000 + 5% Quarterly Bonus

About the Role

We are seeking a Product Engineer / Dimensional Engineer to develop and refine dimensional processes for manufacturing aerospace investment castings . This role is pivotal in ensuring dimensional quality, improving existing processes, and supporting new product development. You will apply expertise in investment casting, metrology, statistics, and machining to drive process improvements, enhance yield, and reduce rework using problem-solving methodologies like PDCA and Six Sigma .

What You’ll Do

• Ensure casting dimensional accuracy aligns with blueprints and customer specifications.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce costs.
• Design and oversee the construction of dies, gauges, and tooling for core and wax pattern production.
• Collaborate with tooling vendors to develop cost-effective and high-quality tools.
• Analyze customer blueprints, CAD models, and layout reports to optimize production.
• Utilize statistical tools to improve process control, measurement systems, and yield.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement new manufacturing technologies to advance product capabilities.
• Develop and document best practices for investment casting processes.
• Conduct production audits to ensure adherence to established standards.
• Provide cross-functional leadership in resolving complex manufacturing challenges.

What You Need to Succeed

✔ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with 12+ years of relevant experience

✔ Investment casting experience in Aerospace or IGT industries

✔ Expertise in tooling build requirements (wax pattern dies, fixtures)

✔ Hands-on experience with CMM, Blue Light Scanning for component characterization

✔ Proven success in process improvement using statistical methods

✔ Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)

✔ Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software

✔ Experience with Polyworks, GOM Inspect, or equivalent

✔ Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing Principles
