Job Description
Excelion Partners is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our client's manufacturing operations and a direct-hire basis. In this role, you will oversee a team of 20–30 production associates, ensuring efficient workflows, top-tier quality standards, and a safety-first work environment. Opportunities are available on both 1st and 2nd shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support 20–30 Production Associates
- Promote a culture of safety, respect, and continuous improvement
- Lead training on safety, quality standards, equipment operation, and 6S
- Drive lean manufacturing initiatives such as waste reduction, Kaizen, and Kanban
- Serve as the first point of contact for team member issues and union relations
- Collaborate with technical and leadership teams to hit operational goals
- Monitor and improve key metrics like inventory, efficiency, and throughput
- Provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance management
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of supervisory experience in high-volume manufacturing (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or Manufacturing Engineering (preferred)
- Proven leadership ability with a servant-leader mindset
- Internship or co-op experience in production or manufacturing accepted
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, production scheduling, and process control (preferred)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and perform manual tasks
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary: $70,000–$90,000/year+, based on experience
- Paid overtime on Fridays when applicable
