Job Description
Looking to leverage your IPC certification and share your expertise to train and mentor a team? Hiring a PCB Trainer near Columbia Heights, MN, with a pay range of $25- $35 per hour to develop and deliver on-the-job training programs for employees. This role is responsible for creating training content specific to cable assemblies, PCB assemblies, SMT machines, and checklists for SOPs and BOMs. Hours are (7am-3pm) with the flexibility to start later with overlap on the off shift. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement on-the-job training programs for PCB and cable assembly processes.
- Collaborate with experts to train content for BOMs, production prints, and SOPs.
- Train employees on PCB assembly, SMT machine operation, rework, and inspection techniques.
- Assist with delivering IPC J-STD training and help coordinate procedure training with the quality department.
- Provide feedback to management regarding any barriers or issues related to training programs
- Track schedules, enrollments, and attendance for training sessions
Required:
- 1+ years of PCB assembly, SMT machines, or cable assembly processes.
- Experience developing training materials, SOPs, and BOM documentation.
- Hands-on experience with SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and through-hole soldering.
- Experience in training or mentoring employees in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred:
- IPC Certification (CIT/CIS) in IPC-A-610, J-STD-001
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and PCB layouts.
- Hands-on experience with fine pitch and micro soldering, and Selective Soldering
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
