ASAP is hiring on behalf of our client for a direct hire Project Architect to support a growing architecture and engineering practice in Pensacola, FL . This opportunity is ideal for an experienced, licensed architect who enjoys leading projects from concept through construction while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a high-quality, design-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all phases of architectural projects, from programming and conceptual design through construction administration
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors
- Coordinate and integrate work across multiple disciplines to ensure design intent and project goals are met
- Direct the development of construction documents using Revit
- Prepare and review project deliverables, ensuring quality control and compliance with applicable codes and standards
- Mentor and support junior architectural staff with guidance, oversight, and technical expertise
- Conduct site visits, field measurements, and construction observation
- Respond to RFIs and submittals and review shop drawings during the construction phase
- Participate in permitting processes, consultant coordination, and preparation of project manuals and specifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program
- 8+ years of professional architectural experience , including demonstrated project leadership and management responsibilities
- Strong working knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and industry standards
- Proficiency in Revit is required ; experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Registered Architect in Florida or eligible to obtain Florida licensure
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- Local to the Pensacola, FL area or willing to relocate
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for site visits as needed
