Summary:
We are seeking a Radiation Therapist for a 13-week contract at a Providence-affiliated outpatient cancer center. The therapist will be responsible for delivering accurate radiation treatments using Elekta Infinity and Versa HD units. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience , be licensed in Texas (TMB), and hold ARRT (R) and BLS certifications. First-time travelers are welcome.
Therapists will work with adult and pediatric oncology patients and may assist in advanced procedures including IMRT , SRS , and CT simulation . Facility prefers teaching hospital experience. No weekends, no call, and no floating required.
ResponsibilitiesDeliver external beam radiation therapy and stereotactic procedures per physician plan
Perform daily QA checks and ensure accuracy of treatment delivery
Collaborate with dosimetry and physics staff
Prepare and immobilize patients using custom molds and beam-modifying devices
Utilize CBCT/kV/mV imaging for patient positioning
Maintain treatment documentation and adhere to safety and compliance standards
Support patient and family education regarding procedures and care
Assist with emergency cases and use of lift/transfer devices as needed
Must have Texas Medical Board (TMB) license in hand at time of submission
Must be certified by ARRT (R) and hold BLS certification
Minimum 2 years of experience in a radiation therapy setting
Must be able to treat up to 20 patients per day
First-time travelers accepted
48-hour schedules not approved
No call, no weekends, and no floating required
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in outpatient radiation therapy
Preferred: experience in a teaching hospital setting
License:
Texas Radiation Therapy License (TMB) Required
ARRT (R) Certification Required
