Advanced Therapeutic Solutions, LLC is looking for a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) to join our team!

As a Recreational Therapist , you will develop and implement personalized therapy sessions to help clients improve functional independence, emotional regulation, and social engagement . This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional who thrives in a flexible, client-centered environment and is committed to evidence-based therapy practices .

✔ Creating engaging, therapeutic experiences tailored to each client’s unique strengths and needs

✔ Accurately documenting assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans to ensure compliance and quality care

✔ Collaborating with families, caregivers, and caseworkers to support meaningful client progress

✔ Advocating for inclusive recreation opportunities in schools and community settings

✔ Managing a flexible caseload while maintaining high-quality therapy standards

🔹 Develop and implement individualized Recreational Therapy treatment plans

🔹 Assess client functional abilities, strengths, and needs using the International Classification of Functioning (ICF) framework

🔹 Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions focusing on motor skills, cognitive function, and emotional well-being

🔹 Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with Medicaid and CMH standards

🔹 Stay up to date with best practices and research in Recreational Therapy

🔹 Educate and mentor interns and students pursuing Recreational Therapy certification

✅ Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) – Required

✅ Experience working with individuals with disabilities, IDD, or behavioral health needs

✅ Strong assessment, documentation, and treatment planning skills

✅ Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with teams and families

✅ Ability to work independently while maintaining high professional standards

✅ Knowledge of Medicaid documentation standards (preferred)
