Job Description
AP Professionals is in search of a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a non-hospital setting in Rochester. The RN will provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs. This role requires clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patient conditions, including vital signs and symptoms.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in coordination with healthcare teams.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist in medical procedures and provide post-operative or chronic illness care.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and disease management.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
- Respond to medical emergencies and perform life-saving procedures as necessary.
- Uphold patient safety, privacy, and infection control standards at all times.
Education & Experience:
- Current and valid RN license in NYS.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- BLS/CPR certification (ACLS, PALS, PEARS may be required based on unit).
- 2-4 years of pediatric nursing experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
