Optimeos Life Sciences is pioneering a transformative nanotechnology platform for non-viral gene therapies. We are a venture-backed, early-stage company, founded by experienced entrepreneurs and leading nanotechnology experts. We are developing and commercializing an innovative encapsulation technology developed at Princeton University. We are a close-knit and dynamic team located at Princeton Innovation Center BioLabs. Optimeos is growing our team as we take on crucial unmet medical needs.
Summary of the Position
You will collaborate closely with the R&D team to design and carry out benchtop experiments that advance our non-viral gene therapies towards the clinic. You will develop and conduct in vitro and ex vivo assays for potency, specificity, immunogenicity, and toxicity. In the course of your work, you will utilize standard biochemistry and molecular biology techniques such as cell isolation, ELISA, chromogenic/fluorogenic assays, flow cytometry, western blots, bacterial and mammalian cell culture.
T cell and PBMC experience is of particular relevance. There will also be opportunities to support in vivo studies at our Philadelphia vivarium based on aptitude and interest. At Optimeos, you will be in a dynamic environment with many opportunities to gain new skills as our needs evolve. You will gain first-hand experience with company creation and growth, pharmaceutical development, and the state-of-the-art in gene therapy. The successful applicant will be proficient in aseptic techniques and wet-lab basics. You will collaborate habitually, think independently, and work proactively.
