Job Opportunity: Safety Manager
Location: Richmond, VA
Duration: 6 months
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to join our team for a 6-month project in Richmond, VA . This role is crucial in ensuring a safe working environment across various phases of construction, including earthwork, utilities, concrete, and steel. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive safety knowledge, and the ability to enforce compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree in EHS related field with 3+ years of safety experience.
- BCSP Certification (CHST, ASP, CSP, CIH) with 3+ years of safety experience.
Job Details:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Approximate End Date: January 1, 2026
- Start Time: 7 AM
- Hours Per Day: 10 hours per day
- Hours Per Week: 50+
- GSA Per diem and travel home once per month
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety protocols for all project phases—from design to commissioning—in mission critical environments.
- Conduct site safety audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory standards.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on safety policies, incident reports, and compliance procedures.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related issues, both internally and with clients.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize safety initiatives.
- Experience with large-scale construction projects.
- Data Center Experience a plus
