About the Role
We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead and oversee maintenance operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This position combines hands-on technical troubleshooting with team leadership to ensure equipment reliability, compliance with safety standards, and minimal production downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise the maintenance team to meet daily production and facility goals.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment across multiple systems, including:
- Electrical: 3-phase power, drives, print reading.
- Electronics: Analog/digital, component-level repair.
- PLC Systems: Siemens, Allen Bradley, ladder logic, programming.
- Instrumentation: Equipment calibrations.
- Mechanical: Pumps, conveyors, drives, rebuilds.
- Hydraulics & Pneumatics: Print reading, equipment rebuilds.
- HVAC & Boilers: Ammonia/Freon systems, chillers, furnaces, high/low pressure boilers.
- Welding & Fabrication: MIG, TIG, stick, plasma cutting, brazing.
- General Building Maintenance: Lighting, roofing, compressors, fire/sprinkler systems.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports related to maintenance and equipment.
- Collaborate with production and operations leadership to minimize downtime.
- Lead by example, train, and develop maintenance staff.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred .
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical trades (vocational training may substitute for 2 years).
- Previous experience supervising a maintenance team in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and technical skills across multiple systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office .
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to perform physical job requirements (lifting up to 100 lbs., crouching, standing, squatting, working in cold environments).
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to legally work in the United States.
