LaSalle Network is partnering with a national IT and consulting company based in Lincolnshire, IL on an opportunity for a
Senior AWS CloudOps and Redshift Administrator . Our client provides cloud-based digital business and human capital service solutions within the areas of wealth, health and Human Resources and is looking for an experienced consulting to help ensure the reliability, performance, security and efficiency of their cloud environment. This position is fully remote and available on a contract or contract-to hire basis.
Senior AWS CloudOps and Redshift Administrator Responsibilities: - Design, implement and monitor databases, schemas, tables and associated data objects, with a focus on optimizing performance and efficiency
- Designing, creating and implementing regular maintenance procedures to ensure the stability and reliability of the database clusters
- Establish guidelines, standards and procedures for database management and integration of systems through effective database design
- Leverage AWS design principles, data access patterns and relevant AWS services to enhance the efficiency and performance of the database management process
- End-to-end platform support, infrastructure issues troubleshooting, installation and configuration of applications, platform version upgrades, fixing vulnerabilities in co-ordination with vendors, incident management and change management, working with multiple infrastructure teams and vendors for RCA and Remediation for P1/P2/P3 incidents
- Responsible for supporting the platform primarily during US CST time zone by following a rotational support roaster
- Responsible for platform high availability, devising and executing on the DR strategy
- Provide support for Application development & Production teams
Senior AWS CloudOps and Redshift Administrator Requirements: - As this role supports services provided to the federal government and/or a federal government contractor, proof will be required to verify US citizenship status at time of hire
- Strong expertise in AWS RedShift database administration, including cluster management and optimization
- Strong experience with AWS Services – S3, Athena, IAM, CLI, EC2, Glue, Lambda, Sagemaker, LakeFormation
- Hands on experience with troubleshooting performance issues and implement best practices
- Ability to understand ETL pipelines and BI reporting needs
- Build integrations with Identity providers – Ping, Okta, etc.

- Advanced knowledge and experience in the development of Python or Linux Shell scripting in combination with d
- Working knowledge of DevOps best practices
- Expertise in Data Governance & Security – Data Encryption, Redshift User Roles & Groups, Role Based Data Access Controls (row level data security), IAM integration, AWS Security Groups, AWS Cloud Watch event monitoring
- Advanced knowledge and experience in maintenance of Metadata repositories such as AWS Glue Catalog, Glue crawler for data stored in: S3, AWS Redshift, AWS RDS for access through Redshift Spectrum
- AWS Certified Solution Architect preferred
- Experience handling patches and fixing vulnerabilities.
- Experience in Agile and DevOps development process
- Maintain regular communication with users regarding best practices, policies, procedures and scheduled maintenance
- Documents and maintain work-instructions, complete audit required tasks
