Senior Electrical Engineer / Consumer Devices / San Francisco, CA
A fast-growing technology company is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to help develop next-generation consumer hardware. This role offers end-to-end ownership of hardware design, from early prototyping through high-volume production. The position is based in San Francisco.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electronics for products featuring wireless, microcontrollers, sensors, and audio/visual components
- Lead schematic design, PCB layout, testing, and system validation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing disciplines
- Drive prototypes and assist in scaling designs for production with overseas suppliers
- Develop test plans and ensure reliability and performance standards are met
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with mixed-signal hardware design
- Proficient in ECAD tools (preferably Altium)
- Familiarity with SMT and flex PCB processes
- Strong analytical skills and experience with failure analysis and quality metrics
Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
