Senior Formulations Scientist – Agricultural Biologics
We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Scientist to lead formulation and encapsulation development for agricultural biologics. You’ll design and run lab-based R&D projects, develop innovative delivery systems for microbial and biological actives, and collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to bring products from concept to reality.
Location: Howard County, MD
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Shift: Mon–Fri, 1st Shift
Compensation: Up to $48/hr
What You’ll Do:
- Lead all stages of formulation and encapsulation development.
- Optimize delivery systems to enhance stability, efficacy, and shelf-life.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, manufacturing, regulatory, and commercial teams.
- Stay up-to-date on scientific advances and regulatory trends in agricultural biotech.
- Communicate results through reports, presentations, and publications.
Who You Are:
- BS/MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical/Biological Engineering, or related field +5 yrs (or PhD +2 yrs) of relevant experience.
- Deep expertise in formulation science and encapsulation technologies.
- Experience with agricultural formulations is strongly preferred.
- Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to lead cross functional teams.
