Job Description
We are currently partnered with a Midland based O&G firm seeking a skilled Landman to join a dynamic team in the Midland area. This role will focus on New Mexico, so strong experience in the NM area is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess opportunities for land or operating rights acquisitions
- Clear titles for fast-paced drilling programs
- Negotiate, draft, and review various land agreements
- Collaborate with legal and land administration teams to maintain accurate records and resolve issues
- Stay up-to-date on regulatory changes and market trends
- Provide recommendations for property and asset divestitures/acquisitions
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Landman in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably for an owner-operator
- AAPL certification preferred
- Experience in the New Mexico area essential.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
