Our challenge

We are looking for a highly skilled and driven Python Developer with over 10 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in software development, particularly within the banking, investment banking, or credit card industry sectors. The role requires a deep understanding of credit card/payment industries or similar and the ability to lead and mentor a development team, while ensuring high-quality, scalable, and efficient code. Strong expertise in Python development, coupled with a strong background in financial services, is essential for success in this position.

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Dallas, TX with salary $110,000-$120,000/ year & benefits.

The Role

Responsibilities:

• 10+ years of experience in Python application development
• Solid understanding of Gen AI, LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, Hugging Face models), and AI/ML pipelines
• Deep knowledge of the banking or credit card/payments domain, including transaction systems and regulatory constraints
• Experience building and deploying scalable microservices using Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django, etc.)
• Proficiency in data processing libraries (Pandas, NumPy, PySpark) and workflow tools like Airflow
• Strong grasp of SQL/NoSQL databases, cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with API design, system integration, and DevOps tooling (CI/CD, GitOps)

Requirements:

You are:

• 10+ years of experience in Python application development
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party API integration
• Proficiency with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server
• Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
