Senior Software Engineer (Healthcare)

$160,000 - $200,000 Salary

The Company:

Our client is a biotech startup focused on delivering actionable genetic insights through advanced sequencing and intuitive digital platforms.

Role/Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy production-grade backend software in Python/Django
Take ownership of key engineering components across the full development lifecycle
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, clinical, and data teams to bring new features to life
Write clean, well-tested code and participate in design/code reviews
Build APIs and internal tools that enable data access and clinical workflows
Contribute to architectural decisions and mentor teammates

Required Qualifications

Strong programming skills in Python , with professional experience using Django
Track record of shipping high-quality, scalable applications
Experience designing APIs and building backend services in production environments
Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization tools, and modern development tools
Comfort navigating ambiguous requirements and startup environments
Experience in healthcare, clinical, or genomics-related domains
Familiar with healthcare standards (HL7/FHIR), LIMS, HIPAA-compliant environments
