Job Description
Barry Bagels is a family-owned and operated bakery and deli in Kettering, Ohio. We are looking for an experienced food-service employee with strong leadership skills to serve as morning or afternoon shift leader.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of restaurant experience
- Thorough understanding of commercial kitchen operations
- Basic cooking & baking skills
- Ability to lead others and delegate tasks
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve
- Strong sense of teamwork
- Excellent attention to detail
- Works well under pressure
- Thorough cleaning skills
Responsibilities:
- Preparing food items for the daily operations
- Preparing all menu items for counter service
- Interacting with customers to ensure a pleasant dining experience
- Operating point-of-sale system
- Ensuring all daily tasks are completed
- Delegating tasks to other employees
- Maintaining a clean work area
Benefits:
- Pay ranging from $14 - $18/hour. Compensation range is equivalent to base pay plus tips.
- Guaranteed compensation of base pay of $14/hour (plus tips) after a probationary training period and determination of qualification is established.
