Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for commercial solar PV projects.
- Assist with the design of solar PV systems, including layout, sizing, and electrical design.
- Create drawings for solar carports, rooftop solar arrays, and ground-mounted solar arrays.
- Attend pre-bid meetings to assess project scope and requirements.
- Coordinate with utilities for design, permitting, and project execution.
- Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to manage project costs and materials.
- Use CAD software to create electrical single-line diagrams and panel schedules.
- Develop checklists for reviewing completed solar installation projects.
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in commercial solar PV estimation and system design.
- Proficiency in CAD software for creating electrical diagrams.
- Strong ability to prepare detailed project estimates and reports.
- Experience in coordinating with utilities and managing project permitting.
- Strong communication skills for working with vendors and subcontractors.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in project planning and execution.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes related to commercial solar installations.
