Key Responsibilities
Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Design and implement tailored IEPs that empower each student to thrive.
Adapt and Innovate: Modify lessons and materials to meet the diverse learning needs of your students, ensuring an engaging classroom experience.
Collaborate with Educators: Work closely with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to create an inclusive environment.
Monitor Student Progress: Regularly assess student growth, adjusting instructional approaches to help meet IEP goals effectively.
Create a Safe, Supportive Classroom: Foster a positive, inclusive, and secure learning space for all students.
Engage Families: Communicate progress and updates to parents and guardians, and actively participate in IEP meetings.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
Certification: Valid Georgia Teaching Certification in Special Education.
Experience: 1+ years of experience in special education, preferably working with K-12 caseloads.
Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills; proficiency with technology and virtual learning tools; and an adaptable, team-oriented approach.
Schedule & Benefits
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
