Must have 15+ year of experience in total.
Role: Lead the end-to-end development of computer vision models to automate utility asset inspections, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with stakeholders to scope, prioritize, and deliver high-impact modeling projects.
- Develop and optimize computer vision models (data labeling, training, evaluation).
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and feature engineering.
- Write and document Python code for machine learning pipelines.
- Present findings to technical and non-technical audiences, including leadership.
- Peer-review models and mentor junior data scientists.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) in Data Science, CS, Engineering, Stats, or related field.
- Experience: 4+ years (2+ with Master’s) in data science, including model deployment.
- Technical Skills:
- Python, ML frameworks, and AWS (S3, SageMaker preferred).
- Strong statistical/mathematical foundation.
- Bonus: Computer vision experience (object detection, segmentation).
- Soft Skills: Ability to simplify complex concepts and drive decision-making.
