We are looking for a dedicated Senior Property Claims Representative to join our dynamic field claims team. In this role, you'll be helping clients through every step of the claims process, ensuring a positive and satisfying experience.
About the Role:
As a Senior Property Claims Representative, you'll work remotely within the Fargo, ND area, including North River, ND, Moorhead, MN, and surrounding regions. While this position is remote, it primarily involves fieldwork within the assigned territory. You'll have the flexibility to work from home when you're not out in the field inspecting claims. We are looking for candidates with direct insurance carrier experience—third-party company experience will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate claims by determining policy coverage and evaluating, negotiating, and settling assigned claims.
- Reach out to insureds, claimants, and other relevant parties to collect information, obtain statements, and explain the claims process.
- Conduct physical and/or virtual inspections of damaged properties, evaluate damages, and prepare written estimates based on policy provisions and liability.
- Utilize innovative technologies such as drones for property inspections and virtual claim handling software to guide clients through the claims process.
Qualifications:
- Preferred: Multilingual skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (or similar), Xactimate, and/or other claims estimating software.
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial construction techniques.
- Maintain appropriate adjuster's licensing for the states we operate in.
- Comfortable working in a remote and virtual office environment, with access to a mobile office/company vehicle for transportation to appointments.
- Ability to work beyond normal business hours as needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
- Physical ability to inspect damage, including climbing ladders and working in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds if needed.
Experience Required:
Typically requires at least 7 years of relevant experience, or a combination of related experience, education, and training.
