Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Certification: CRCST required within 120 days of hire

Experience: Preferred

Pay Rate: $19.80/hour increasing to $21.00/hour upon positive 120-day evaluation and CRCST certification

Note: Candidates with 2+ years of SPD Tech, Surgical Tech, Anesthesia Tech, or OR Support experience will be eligible for a pay rate above the stated base rate.

COVID Vaccination: Required

Hours: Varying daily hours, on-call rotation required

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Integral part of the OR/SPD team, ensuring smooth execution of surgical procedures.
• Maintain strict sterile practices to ensure patient safety and efficient procedural operations.
• Manage and maintain the readiness of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to deliver exceptional support and service.
• Handle cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance of surgical instruments.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED required; further technical training or education preferred.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must live within 30 minutes of the hospital for on-call duties.
• Flexible availability for varied shifts, including rotational weekend calls.
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
