Job Title: Summer SSAT Prep Teacher (Math)

Location: Upper East Side, NYC (students and teachers must be able to commute)

Start Date: July 4, 2025

End Date: July 31, 2025

Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 3 hours/day (exact hours TBD)

Compensation: Competitive and based on experience

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, engaging Math Teacher to lead a 4-week SSAT/ISEE prep course for rising 8th grade students . This program takes place in person on the Upper East Side , so all candidates must be available to commute to the school site.

Ideal candidates are passionate classroom educators—not tutors—who can create an interactive, results-driven curriculum that blends rigorous test prep with games and activities to make learning fun. Teachers who thrive in this role may be considered for continued work with our after-school SHSAT prep program in the fall .

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver a 4-week Math curriculum aligned with SSAT content
• Teach 3-hour sessions, Tuesday–Friday, to a small cohort of motivated students
• Use creative, engaging methods to build skills and test readiness
• Track student progress and adapt instruction as needed
• Collaborate with the New Age Prep team to ensure program goals are met
• (Optional) Participate in our fall SHSAT after-school program

Qualifications:

• Certified teacher or 3+ years of classroom teaching experience
• Strong familiarity with SSAT and/or ISEE content and structure
• Proven experience creating and delivering original curriculum
• Ability to make learning engaging and culturally responsive
• Experience in private/independent school environments is a plus
• Must be able to reliably commute to the Upper East Side location
