We are excited to offer an opportunity for a contract-to-permanent hire Systems Administrator in Auburn Hills, Michigan. As a vital member of our team, you'll play an essential role in supporting our service desk, managing server administration, and ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Provide prompt and effective resolution of end-user issues by managing incoming service desk requests through phone, web portal, and email.
Utilize remote tools and diagnostic utilities to address support requests efficiently.
When remote tools aren't sufficient, perform hands-on fixes, including hardware repairs and the delivery of peripherals to users.
Install and configure hardware and software components for various network infrastructure devices.
Administer servers through Active Directory, File & Print services, DNS, and DHCP.
Manage and maintain the network firewall and switches to ensure secure and efficient operations.
Follow and enforce company safety and security standards across all systems.
Collaborate on network and server solution design, as well as architecture planning.
Prioritize incidents and service requests in line with defined processes, ensuring SLAs are met.
Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Systems Administrator role or a similar technical position.
Proficiency in Cisco Technologies and a solid understanding of Cloud Technologies.
Strong knowledge of Firewall Technologies.
Hands-on experience with Active Directory administration.
Familiarity with Backup Technologies to ensure data integrity.
Proficiency with both Windows and Mac OS environments.
Basic network troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
Experience with Server Administration, both hardware and software.
Comfortable managing O365 environments and performing server-related tasks.
Expertise in VMware, with knowledge of Linux as a plus.
Willingness to occasionally travel locally to provide onsite client support as needed.
