Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and knowledgeable Winery Tasting Room Pourer to join our team. As a Pourer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional wine-tasting experiences to our visitors, showcasing our winery's selection and creating a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests to the winery tasting room.
- Educate visitors about our wines, including their characteristics, production process, and food pairings.
- Pour and present wine tastings in a professional and engaging manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and assisting guests with their wine selections.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere for guests.
- Process wine sales and accurately handle cash transactions.
- Promote our wine club membership and encourage guests to join.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of wines and merchandise.
- Collaborate with the winery team to ensure smooth operations and memorable customer experiences.
- Follow all safety and health regulations pertaining to the tasting room.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a winery or hospitality industry.
- Knowledge and passion for wines, including varietals, wine regions, and wine production methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and engage with a diverse clientele.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions.
- Availability to work weekends, as this is our busiest period.
- Must be available year-round to ensure consistent staffing for our tasting room.
