A dynamic tax and accounting service firm is seeking a highly skilled CPA with 4-5 years of experience as a Tax Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IRS tax code, particularly from a small business perspective, and be able to apply creative, out-of-the-box thinking when optimizing tax strategies for clients.
This role is not client-facing but requires strong collaboration with team members and leadership in guiding junior accountants.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Interpret and apply IRS tax code, with a focus on small business tax matters.
- Use expertise in Qualified Business Income (QBI) deductions and tax credits to maximize savings for clients.
- Collaborate with other accountants within the firm, providing guidance and support to junior staff.
- Lead internal discussions, answer questions, and help resolve tax-related issues.
- Work with software such as Sage, CCH, and Excel to manage tax data and reporting.
**Qualifications:**
- CPA license with 4-5 years of experience as a Tax Accountant, focusing on small business tax.
- In-depth knowledge of IRS tax code, QBI deductions, and tax credits.
- Experience using Sage, CCH, and Excel software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach to tax strategies.
