Position: Trademark Associate Attorney

Our client, a prominent full-service law firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Trademark Associate to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will bring 2-6 years of expertise in trademark law, with a strong focus on trademark registration, enforcement, and litigation. Key Responsibilities:

Trademark Registration & Prosecution:

• Manage the trademark application process from initial filing through to registration, including conducting trademark searches and responding to office actions.
• Prepare and file applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Develop and execute global trademark portfolio strategies, handling international applications, coordinating with local counsel, and communicating with clients.

Trademark Enforcement:

• Develop strategies for enforcing trademark rights and addressing potential infringement issues.
• Draft cease-and-desist letters, negotiate settlements, and implement other enforcement actions as necessary.
• Oversee global enforcement efforts, including managing international opposition and cancellation matters, as well as reviewing international trademark watch notices.

Litigation & Opposition Support:

• Assist in trademark litigation, including legal research, drafting pleadings, and supporting discovery efforts.
• Collaborate with external counsel on complex litigation matters as needed.

Collaboration & Client Engagement:

• Work closely with attorneys and legal professionals to ensure a unified approach to trademark matters.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and outreach efforts to support the growth of the firm’s trademark practice.

Qualifications:

• 2-6 years of experience in trademark law, with a strong background in prosecution and enforcement.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $200,000 – $250,000, depending on experience.
