Responsibilities
- Driving and Operating: Safely drive and operate vehicles, including tractor-trailers, with a combined weight exceeding 26,001 pounds.
- Loading and Unloading: Pick up and deliver loads, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Paperwork: Accurately complete necessary paperwork related to deliveries.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Inspect vehicles before departure and perform basic maintenance when necessary.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure safety on the road.
- Route Planning: Use maps and GPS to plan routes and navigate to destinations.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients and co-workers.
Requirements
- License: A valid CDL Class A license.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Driving Record: A clean driving record.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift items weighing up to 80 pounds and drive for long periods.
