Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Senior User Experience Designer to join our client's WebStore team., which is an 8 month contract in Seattle. This role is perfect for a highly motivated individual interested in designing innovative and intuitive web applications that help sellers manage their inventory, orders, and customer-facing websites. The ideal candidate will use visitor data to drive design recommendations and measure their impact. A strong commitment to advocating for users is essential, as this role will significantly enhance the user experience for thousands of retailers and manufacturers.

Responsibilities:

• Develop process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups to effectively communicate detailed interaction behaviors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business and feature requirements using empirical online data, usability findings, market research, and UCD principles.
• Optimize the performance of new and existing features through usability testing and data analysis.
• Present design work to the user experience team, product team, and company executives for feedback and review.
• Contribute to user interface design and development best practices and standards.
• Lead in areas of ecommerce trends, web application design, and user interface innovations.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of industry experience in providing interaction design solutions for web and/or software applications.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
• Expertise in web-based information architecture, design, and usability principles.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Visio, and Dreamweaver.
• A strong online portfolio demonstrating user-centered design solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Self-starter who is detail-oriented, customer-obsessed, and a team player.
• Ability to work with highly technical teams and manage multiple projects in an agile, fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, or Flash for prototyping.
• 10+ years of experience in user experience design.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience with design systems, interaction design, and visual thinking.
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma, Quip, MS Office, and Adobe Tools.
• Self-starter with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
